Christian P. Hemrick, RA, NCARB

I'm a licensed architect with 25 years of experience across industrial, commercial, and residential projects. My work today focuses on helping A/E teams and facility owners navigate the parts of industrial design where a missed detail becomes a costly field problem.

I've worked inside $350M+ industrial facilities — coordinating an 80-foot IMP-enclosed cornstarch bagging tower with combustible dust mitigation, FDA sanitary slab and trench drain design, and OSHA-to-IBC egress strategy from a process platform down to grade. I've documented gas train weather enclosures for two municipal power plants, sized to maintain C1D2 classification under the NEC. The same kind of details — the ones easy to miss in DD — are what I get hired to catch.

Most firms working on technically complex projects don't need another full-time senior architect. They need one for a defined stretch of time, on a specific set of problems, fully integrated into their workflow. That's what I offer.

My background spans heavy and light industrial, commercial, and high-risk process environments, with working knowledge of the NFPA, NEC, IBC, and OSHA requirements specific to each. I work in Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and Point Cloud Scan-to-BIM — but my value is architectural judgment, not software production.

I founded HEMRICK ARCHITECT as an independent consulting practice to provide that senior-level capacity directly — no overhead, no delegation, no hand-offs, no junior staff on your project.
